Quest Overview

“Don’t Lose Your Mind” is a side job in Cyberpunk 2077 and serves as the conclusion to the extensive Delamain questline. This quest becomes available after completing all previous “Epistrophy” missions and waiting approximately 48 in-game hours. The primary objective involves infiltrating Delamain HQ in Heywood to address a critical issue with the AI. Your decisions within this mission will have significant consequences for Delamain’s future.

The quest begins by tracking the job and heading to Delamain HQ, located in Heywood. The nearest fast travel point is also Delamain HQ.

Entering Delamain HQ

Upon arrival at Delamain HQ, you’ll find the main entrance leads to inaccessible double doors, requiring an alternative entry method. Several options are available, often depending on V’s skill levels:

  • Technical Ability (Level 8): If you possess Level 8 Technical Ability, you can access the building through a door on the right side of the structure.
  • Alternative Entry: If your Technical Ability is insufficient, proceed past the aforementioned door, turn left, then left again. You will find a stack of crates that can be climbed. From these crates, an “Exit” hatch can be opened, allowing you to drop down into the HQ.

Once inside, your next hurdle is gaining deeper access into the facility.

  • Intelligence (Level 8) or Code 1234: In the room with multiple computers, locate a small office. If you have Level 8 Intelligence, you can hack a computer to open a locked door. Alternatively, you can search other computers in the office to find the code “1234.” This code can then be used to unlock the computer requiring Level 8 Intelligence, allowing you to progress.
  • Opening Double Doors: After gaining access, proceed to the next room and find another computer. This computer can also be hacked with Level 8 Intelligence using the “Local Network” option, or by inputting the code “1234,” to open the large double doors ahead.

Beyond the double doors, you’ll encounter a mini-drone firing lasers. Destroy it and enter the door to your left. This leads to the optional objective “Find a way to the stairs,” which is highly recommended due to electrified flooring in the main path.

  • Reaching the Catwalk: In this new room, a cab moves up and down via a forklift. Climb onto the cab, and from its highest point, jump to the shed-like building in front. Use this building to reach the catwalk area. Climb through an opening and drop down to the stairs.
  • Crossing the Electrified Room: Ascend the stairs and cross the catwalk to the opposite side of the room. Open the door on the left and then open a hatch to descend a ladder. You’ll find a car in this area. Push the car forward into the center of the electrified room.
    • Body (Level 6) or Technical Ability (Level 5): If you have Level 6 Body or Level 5 Technical Ability, you can open a hatch located under the car. This allows you to bypass the electrified room by moving underneath it. Take the pathway to the other side, climb back up the ladder, and return to the catwalk.
    • Alternative Crossing: If you lack the required attributes, run and jump onto the car in the middle of the electrified room. From there, jump to the car being worked on by robotic arms. Jump off the other end of this car to safety. Climb the ladder to your right, walk across the catwalk (jumping over a gap), and climb into the upper shaft on your right.
  • Reaching the Control Room: Continue forward through the only door available. Descend the stairs, where you’ll observe numerous Delamain cabs driving in circles. Head to the far side of the room and go up the stairs. Near an office building, climb over the railing onto large metal pipes. Climb onto the office building itself, then drop down the other side into the shaft you need to enter. Continue forward and drop down into the control room.

Delamain Core Choices

In the control room, after listening to Delamain, proceed into the core room. Here, you will be presented with three critical choices that determine Delamain’s fate:

  1. Reset Delamain’s core and preserve its integrity: This option aims to restore Delamain to its original state, effectively wiping the fragmented personalities.
  2. Force personalities to merge with Delamain: This choice attempts to integrate all the divergent personalities into a single, unified Delamain AI.
  3. Destroy the core: This hidden third option involves stepping back and shooting at the core, leading to its destruction.

After making your choice, your objective will change to “Investigate the source of the noises coming from the side exit.” Head to the yellow objective marker. You will find a single Delamain cab in the main room, with its AI named Excelsior.
